Ms. Kachoyeanos has over 30 years of commercial and personal injury litigation experience. Her commercial litigation background is diverse and includes  experience in banking and general breach of contract matters and extensive experience in all aspects of insurance coverage litigation. As lead counsel she has handled several dozen declaratory judgement actions involving professional liability errors and omissions ("E&O"), employment practices liability insurance ("EPLI"), directors and officers ("D&O") liability insurance, and commercial general liability ("CGL") insurance coverage disputes, with an emphasis on mass tort and environmental general liability matters. She has direct defense experience representing numerous insurance agents and brokers in alleged failure to produce insurance cases. Her personal injury litigation experience includes defense of all matters of general negligence, construction, products liability, and medical malpractice. 

For seven years Ms. Kachoyeanos was designated Trial Counsel for the General Counsel's office of a major domestic general liability insurer where in addition to acting as lead counsel on numerous multi-million dollar insurance coverage disputes she drafted manuscript policies and policy endorsements, conducted training seminars for claims and underwriting branch office personnel throughout the United States, and managed attorneys and supported staff in the Chicago and Dallas Office of the General Counsel's office. She has acted as lead and second chair counsel in numerous jury trails in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois and has practices in the Illinois Court of Appeals and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (Ohio). She has been retained "of counsel" by Chicago law firms to consult on and litigate insurance coverage matters involving underlying commercial and personal injury actions. 

Ms. Kachoyeanos is a 1986 graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science.  She was a James Scholar.  Ms. Kachoyeanos attended IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, Chicago, Illinois.  She was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award, Conflicts of Law, and served as an extern for the Honorable Judge George Marovich, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 

Ms. Kachoyeanos is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for Northern District of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Ms. Kachoyeanos has been a presenter of educational lectures for members of the Illinois State Bar Association on insurance coverage matters and has authored articles for the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel Quarterly. She recently participated in the preparation and presentation of a Continuing Legal Education Seminar for an international insurance company.
